Important Service & Policy Information

The following policies are put in place to ensure understanding and satisfaction to both you as the customer and AniLee as the service provider.

To ensure the best results, we ask that you use the following check list before submitting your top for quilting.

1. We do touch up pressing before quilting, but recommend that you press your quilt top and backing to remove heavy wrinkles and creases before delivering for service. Please don't send it looking like you just took it out of the dryer.

2. Clip long threads from both sides of quilt top. Long loose threads are unsightly if left hanging and require an extra amount of time on our part to remove them. Additional charges may be requested for this service.

3. REMOVE ALL PINS PLEASE! - It is especially important to check, double check and triple check for pins. Pins can cause damage to your quilt top as well as costly damage to our longarm machine. We do our best to spot them, but will not be responsible for damages if pins are left in during the piecing process.

4. Prepare backing fabric by removing the selvage edges and allow at least 4" on each edge. Your backing should be squared and measure at least 8" wider and longer than your quilt top dimensions (i.e. if your top measures 20" x 30" your backing should measure at least 28" x 38").

5. Batting should be prepared to at least the same size as your backing fabric. Batting we have on hand can be purchased from us if desired. At present We carry Warm & Natural, Warm & White, Soft & Black. All are made by the Warm Company. We can also provide Mountain Mist Poly if desired.

6. The condition of the quilt top is an important part of the quilting process. Puckers and wavy borders are difficult to work with in the quilting process and can produce unsatisfactory results. It is very important to have your top squared and laying flat before the quilting process begins. We can only do our best with what we get.

7. Borders - if you plan to do scalloped or angled borders, please leave the border straight and do the scallop process after the quilting is done. If scallops are planned, simply mark your straight borders where the scallops will be cut so quilting can be adjusted for this area if necessary.

8. We usually use the same color thread on top and bottom. Please consider this when selecting your backing fabric. If different colors are to be used, it is more noticable on a solid color backing. Busy prints work best for hiding the back threads.

9. Please provide us with any special instructions at time of delivery to ensure your satisfaction.

10. Please send us an email to discuss your quilting needs before sending your project to us.
